about
Khamar - Daban - the oldest massif of the planet, stretching from west to east for more than 350 km, forming a mountainous country in south of Lake Baikal. The most popular and accessible object is Chersky Peak (2090m). Climbing the Chersky Peak means going through cedar massifs and jungles of taiga grasses. From the top of the peak you can see the expanses of Lake Baikal and hundreds of kilometers of dense taiga. This route makes it possible to get to know and feel the whole gamut of beauty of the wild, untouched nature of Khamar-Daban.
